Brahma Vihara Arama is a well known meditation center specially in Bali and Indonesia. Build in 1969 by Ven. Girirakhito Maha Thera (that time still Samanera), Brahma Vihara Arama is located on hillside with 6 main area, first is the Uposatha Graha, Dharmasala, Stupa, Bodhi tree, Kuti and Open hall at the top level (we can see Lovina beach and surrounding hills). 1.5 Km west of the Banjar Hotspring
When entering Brahma Vihara Arama, we cannot wear short pants, mini skirt or other similar clothes, we can rent sarong at the front office and the entering fee is donation. Every year, there are meditation retreat scheduled here. For schedule visit here
Visitor can enjoy the serenity feel around the area, beautiful traditional Balinese architecture mixed with Buddhist culture. A very peaceful place.
